About me

Julie has a PhD in Biology and Sport Sciences and worked as Biology teacher for 5 years in France. She is passionate about ballet and danced in a conservatory for 5 years in France (Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Brest métropole). That’s when she discovered the benefits of Pilates both for strengthening and to recover from injuries. Julie moved to Amsterdam in January 2019 to start her professional career as a Pilates teacher. She is currently a certified Pilates teacher on both mat and equipments (Reformer, cadillac…). Julie completed her 500h Comprehensive teacher training program at Smartbody (Amsterdam, NL). She currently teaches Pilates reformer in Amsterdam; mainly at her own studio (Amsterdam Amateur Ballet) but she also teaches some groups lessons at other locations.
Julie is also a certified holistic masseuse and sport massage therapist (ITEC level 3) and enjoy helping her client feel better, relaxed but also recover for stress and muscle pain.
Julie is also a certified Progressing Ballet Technique teacher. She stays deeply involved with the ballet community, first with her students but also by taking numerous ballet classes and by organising ballet events for amateur adult dancers both in Amsterdam (Amsterdam Amateur Ballet) and in Brittany, France (Morlaix Ballet Camp).
She’s energetic, friendly and loves to share her love for teaching, Pilates and Ballet whilst helping others achieve their personal goals.
